Structural Engineering

The Structural Engineering department of Pöyry Infra Ltd. drafts calculates and designs complex structures for industrial, commercial, office and residential buildings. Many of the objects we have worked on can be found at prominent locations in Switzerland and abroad and are thus well-known by the general public.

Apart from the design of new projects, the growing needs for reconstructions and rehabilitations is more and more challenging in regard to structural design. We offer our services from condition analysis up to final design also for reconstruction or rehabilitation projects.

In the area of structural analysis, we develop static models from complex structures and measure the individual construction parts by using state-of-the art calculation methods and considering structural safety, usability and efficiency. With a well-prepared checklist, the technical construction supervisor ensures the correct implementation of the execution drawings developed by our experienced engineers and designers.

In our structural engineering projects, we consult the owners and architects already in the preliminary design stage in order to design aesthetically appealing, efficient structures.
